The suspect, who allegedly broke into the victim's apartment about 2 a.m. Tuesday, was stabbed in the chest and ran away, police said. He was later arrested at a nearby Gate gas station.
Police say the suspect's injuries aren't life-threatening and the homeowner is OK.
Police said the victim, who is in his 20s, was not alone in the home; his family was there but may not have witnessed the incident.

The victim was able to communicate with police via text message.
