Two New Jersey day care workers are facing charges, accused of staging fights among the children in their care.
Erica Kenny and Chanese White spoke of the movie "Fight Club" as they encouraged children between the ages 4 and 6 to have playground fights at Lightbridge Academy in Cranford, New Jersey, according to WCBS.
"About a dozen children, boys and girls between the ages 4 and 6, just fighting; throwing each other to the ground; hitting each other," Grace Park, acting Union County prosecutor, said.
Prosecutors said Kenny shot video of the fights and sent the video on Snapchat.
Normally the videos, which lasted 10 seconds, would disappear, but investigators found the footage after someone recorded it, WCBS reported.
Kenny and White have been fired.
Lightbridge Academy responded to the allegations in a statement.
"As parents and caregivers, we are shocked and saddened by this isolated incident and we have assisted the prosecutors office from the state of its investigation into this matter. While no children were physically harmed during this incident, we have a zero tolerance policy for anyone who acts in conflict with the core value of Lightbridge Academy - the safety and well-being of our children."
Kenny and White are accused of child abuse. Kenny also faces endangering the welfare of a child charges, PIX11 reported.
White faces up to 18 months in prison, while Kenny faces up to five years.
