About 30 people were hurt when a floor collapsed at an apartment complex in Clemson, South Carolina, police said Sunday.

Update 2:10 p.m. EDT Oct. 21: Clemson police chief Jimmy Dixon said no one was trapped and there were no life-threatening injuries, WYFF reported.

“I'm monitoring the situation, and my thoughts and prayers are with all who were injured," Clemson University president Jim Clements told the television station. "Our entire student support system will be available for any student impacted.”

Joe Galbreath, Clemson's associate vice president for strategic communications, confirmed that the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity hosted the event,

reported.

Original report: Clemson police said the incident occurred about 12:30 a.m. Sunday during a private party at the Woodlands of Clemson neighborhood clubhouse, WHNS reported. The first floor of the building buckled, falling into the clubhouse's basement, authorities said.

Thirty people were being treated at area hospitals, according to WHNS. Police didn't know whether any of the victims' injuries were life-threatening, WYFF reported.
