Troopers said Officer Chris Bonner failed to obey traffic laws and was at fault in the crash. They also said Bonner never stopped or slowed down.

Police said Bonner was pursuing two armed robbery suspects. Records show that the chase reached speeds over 90 mph.
FHP troopers said Bonner's vehicle had it's emergency lights onand its siren activated when it struck a car driven by Yahaira Castro Montalvo, who had the green light.
It’s not known if the suspects ran a red light when they went through the intersection before the officers.
Montalvo said she didn’t realize that she had been hit until she woke up in the hospital.
