Connecticut State Police find 420 pounds of marijuana during traffic stop

Connecticut State Police K-9 officers made a major drug bust during a traffic stop Friday.

A state trooper pulled over a U-Haul traveling on I-95 in Darien for a motor vehicle violation, according to the Connecticut State Police Facebook page.

K-9 officers inspected the rear of the truck and alerted the trooper, resulting in the discovery of 420 pounds of marijuana, WTIC reported.

Vahe Manjikian, 23, and passenger Kevin Conrado, 27, were charged with simple possession and possession of more than a kilogram of marijuana with intention to sell, WTIC reported. They are being held on $100,000 bonds pending court appearances, per the WTIC report.
