A Virginia man just wanted some hot chicken from Bojangles' Famous Chicken 'n Biscuits. But he got much more.
According to WTVR, James Minor was waiting in a Bojangles drive-thru for fresh chicken Friday after sending back a previous order. A few minutes later, an employee at the Henrico County restaurant brought Minor what appeared to be bag of food.
When Minor reached inside, he was in for a shock.
"When I opened the box up – the Bojangles chicken box – there was probably close to $4,500 in cash and also SunTrust deposit slips," he told WTVR.
"Here I am doing a good thing, bringing the money back," Minor told WTVR. "Most folks probably would've kept on going and wouldn't have recognized it until they got home."
The store eventually offered Minor a tailgate party and a new meal. He later complained to a district manager and an official at the chain's corporate headquarters, who said he could have a $100 gift card.
But Minor wants something else – respect and an apology.
"And probably a cash reward," he added.
