Wendy Williams' son, Kevin Hunter Jr., has had his assault case against his father, Kevin Hunter Sr., dismissed.
E! News reported Hunter Jr., the only son of talk show host Williams, previously pleaded not guilty to a simple assault charge after he allegedly got into a fight with his father in West Orange, New Jersey, in May.
Reports at the time said Hunter Jr., 18, punched his father after Hunter Sr. put him in a headlock. The police were called as a result, and Hunter Jr. was arrested and charged with assault, a spokesperson for Essex County Family Court told Us Weekly May 22.
"The police were not witnesses to what happened, and they came onto the scene after the fact," his attorney Raymond Hamlin told E! News. "If you don't have a first-hand historian, you can't prosecute and the father never wanted to prosecute, his own son. They have reconciled since. Things happen in families at times, unfortunately, but they are good now."
On Williams' end, she revealed on her show Monday that she's dating a doctor in his 50s.
