Chance encounter helps make teen's dream more of a reality
An Indiana man on the way to a job interview may have helped change the life of a teen.
Earl Davis was driving along a Fort Wayne, Indiana, roadway when he saw a boy running dragging two tires behind him hooked together with a chain.
The boy, named Demarco, told Davis that he was training to make his high school football team and had been running with the weights every morning since last year, WXIN reported.
Davis just happens to be a football coach for another area team, and he told Demarco that he could train with his team.
Davis also posted a photo of Demarco dragging the tires on Facebook, where it quickly went viral.

A Go Fund Me page was also set up so Demarco could get real training equipment. Davis wanted to raise $5,000. In seven days, it has surpassed that amount and as of Wednesday morning, brought in more than $7,500. The money is slated to go to training, school and workout gear for Demarco and his two brothers, WXIN reported.
