What started as a minor fender bender between an SUV and a motorcycle on a New York City highway…

...turned into chaos after the driver was reportedly surrounded and beaten by a mob of angry motorcyclists. And it was all caught on video by one of the biker's helmet cams. (Via WABC)

According to police, 33-year-old Alexian Lien was out for a drive on his first wedding anniversary with his wife and their young daughter when he hit a motorcyclist's back wheel after the bike cut him off. (Via Daily Mail)

Lien tried to pull over after the initial accident.

But when a crowd of more than 30 bikers swarmed the Range Rover and started hitting the doors and windows, the footage shows him speeding off, hitting several more bikes in the process. (Via WVZN)

The mob chased Lien and his family for more than four miles, until he eventually exited the highway and was forced to stop at a stoplight. (Via WTAE)

As soon as the SUV stopped moving, the bikers attacked.

The helmet cam footage shows one throwing his bike to the side and smashing his helmet into the driver's window — while another tries to punch through the back seat window, where Lien's daughter was sitting. (Via YouTube / Michelinman900)

And they didn’t stop there.

Authorities say after the camera stopped rolling, Lien was punched and slashed with a knife in the face as his horrified family looked on.

By the time police got to the scene, the motorcycle mob had taken off and left Lien bleeding face down on the pavement. He was taken to a nearby hospital where sources say he received stitches and was discharged. (Via WPEC)

The motorcyclist Lien initially hit is believed to have sustained a broken leg, but no other injuries were reported. Police are still investigating the situation and are trying to track down the attackers from the video.
