The New Frontier hotel in Las Vegas was imploded Tuesday. The Wild West-deco gambling hall that opened in 1942 and became the first themed casino on the Las Vegas Strip is making way for a $5 billion megaresort planned by IDB Group and Elad Group, the owner of The Plaza hotel in New York.
