Miami-Dade police are investigating after a North Carolina man died from a fall Monday from the Carnival cruise ship Ecstasy.
According to cruise line spokeswoman, the Ecstasy was pulling into PortMiami when the unidentified 20-year-old man entered a restricted area and climbed the ship's forward mast.
He fell about 25 feet and landed on the deck below. Police said the man's fall was the equivalent of two decks of the ship.
He was rushed to a local hospital where he later died.
The man's identity has not been released.
