Hilary Magacs , of WVLT, was on camera, interviewing a neighbor about the near-fatal stabbing of a 61-year-old woman at an apartment complex, when the woman's daughter approached her and confessed. (See video here.)

The neighbor had just told Magacs that she suspected the victim's daughter was her attacker.

"I almost kind of hope that she does come back through here so we can get the authorities to get her," the neighbor said.

Minutes later, Katie Nichols walked up to the reporter, claiming she had tried to kill her mother because her mother was involved with a satanic cult and was threatening both Nichols and her own daughter.

Nichols' mother was alive when she was taken from the scene to a hospital.

"When I left, she was still breathing," Nichols told the reporter in the recorded interview. "I stabbed her three times and she should have died. She was still breathing. I don't know what happened to her afterwards or where they took her, but she was the antichrist - she did not die."

The reporter called 911 and her crew televised Nichols' arrest when officers arrived back at the scene. Nichols was later charged with attempted first degree murder and related counts.
