A Salinas, California, man who worked as an emergency responder has been arrested on suspicion of 98 crimes related to child sex, authorities said.
Salinas police arrested Kevin Raymond Crane, 36, on Thursday, The Salinas Californian reported. He faces 48 counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child, 48 additional charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a child based on the age difference, one charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child and a charge of felony child endangerment.
Police said they believe they have identified one victim. They haven’t released additional information on Crane’s arrest.
Crane worked as an emergency medical technician for the ambulance service American Medical Response. He was put on administrative release after his arrest, a company spokesman told the newspaper.
Crane’s bail has been set at $5.3 million.
