An Oregon woman can breathe a sigh of relief after deputies determined that a possible "burglary suspect" in her home was actually a robot vacuum.
According to KATU-TV, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday that the woman, whose name was not released, called 911 to report an intruder in her house.
She told dispatchers that "the person has the bathroom door locked," the department said in a now-viral Facebook post. "The caller can see shadows under the bathroom door."
Multiple deputies responded to the call, surrounding the house and requesting K-9 backup, KATU reported.
"As we entered the home, we could hear 'rustling' in the bathroom," wrote one of the responding officers, identified only as "Deputy Rogers."
When the "suspect" failed to respond to commands, deputies drew their guns and opened the door.
That's when they "encountered a very thorough vacuuming job being done by a Roomba Robotic Vacuum cleaner," Rogers wrote.
The Facebook post, which has been shared more than 1,100 times, was accompanied by a tongue-in-cheek "Most Wanted" poster of a Roomba labeled "CAPTURED."
