Two North Carolina boys' heartwarming display of patriotism has gone viral.
According to WFMY-TV, Roseboro Fire Department Chaplain Bobby Herring was raising the American flag over the fire station Friday when the boys stopped, placed their hands on their hearts and began to say the Pledge of Allegiance.
"It really touched my heart," said Herring, who snapped a photo of the moment and posted it on Facebook.
The picture quickly went viral, with more than 4,100 shares by Tuesday morning.
Commenters lauded the boys – and their parents.
"That pic gives me goosebumps and tears!!" one woman wrote. "Thanks parents for teaching your kids respect and manners."
"WAY TO GO KIDS!" added another commenter. "We're so proud of you!"
