When a Michigan mother asked her son who he wanted to invite to his 11th birthday -- his answer was heartbreaking.

"He said there wasn't a point because he has no friends," Jennifer Cunningham wrote on a Facebook page created for her son Colin.

Cunningham said her son has a disorder similar to autism. In a page dedicated just for Colin's birthday wishes, Jennifer wrote:

"I am Colin's mom, I created this page for my amazing, wonderful, challenging son who is about to turn 11 on March 9th. Because of Colin's disabilities, social skills are not easy for him, and he often acts out in school, and the other kids don't like him. So when I asked him if he wanted a party for his birthday, he said there wasn't a point because he has no friends. He eats lunch alone in the office everyday because no one will let him sit with them, and rather than force someone to be unhappy with his presence, he sits alone in the office. So I thought, if I could create a page where people could send him positive thoughts and encouraging words, that would be better than any birthday party. Please join me in making my very original son feel special on his day."

The page was created less than two weeks ago and has now garnered 1.8 million likes.  What's more are the messages of support and encouragement in several languages.

One man wrote, "I would count myself a very blessed person to call you a friend," writes Brandon Foster, a "proud U.S. Navy sailor."

"Happy Birthday, Colin, from someone who had a very hard time making friends when I was little," writes a grandmother.

Cunningham said people are now even sending Colin birthday cards in the mail. But she's keeping the page and all of his growing popularity a secret until his actual birthday on March 9.

Happy Birthday Colin! You can visit his page HERE.
