A boy and his dog are both featured in the boy’s yearbook, for good reason.

Joseph "Seph" Ware, 14, of West Monroe, Louisiana, has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a diagnosis he was given at the age of 3, according to AL.com.

The genetic condition causes progressive muscle weakness, with most patients confined to wheelchairs by the time they are teens.

When picture day came around at Ware's school, school officials decided to include Presley, the boy's service dog.

That is because Presley has been with Ware for the past four years and goes to school with him.

Seph's mother, Lori Ware, said her son replied, "Why not?" when the school asked if the service dog could take a yearbook picture.

Lori Ware said Presley has always held her own leash, as she does in her photo.

Presley and Seph made the yearbook. 😀😀
