A two-year-old Texas boy has forged a special bond with someone who may be all but invisible in his hometown, the neighborhood garbage man.
O Dee, as he is known, is the man who collects the recycling in Deacon Ross' neighborhood, but to Deacon, he's much more than a garbage man, he's the little boy's best friend, USA Today reported.
He's so special to the little boy, that Deacon has decided that his yet-to-be born brother or sister will be named after O Dee, whose real name is Oladele Olurunrinu.
But that bond will soon be coming to an end.
Deacon and his family are moving because of the growing family and that house is not on O Dee's route.
Deacon's mom told WFAA, "I think this is Deacon's first friend [where] he really understands what friendship is."
So with the two friends going to be separated soon, Deacon's mom threw a goodbye party for the last time Deacon would see his best friend, and marking the event with photos of the pair. And Deacon's not the only one who will miss the weekly visits. O Dee said he's going to miss them too.
