Survivors of the Boston Marathon bombing met with six of the eight Pulse nightclub shooting victims still being treated at Orlando Regional Medical Center Saturday.
Ten bombing survivors, along with their service dogs, visited patients in their hospital rooms. In a news release, the group said it was part of their mission to pay it forward.
Boston bombing survivors Celeste Corcoran and Dave Fortier -- and Corcoran’s daughter Sydney -- met with Pulse survivor Angel Colon, as did their service dogs Sebastian, Koda and Zealand.
"There's post-traumatic stress and it helps to talk with someone who has been through similar situations," said Celeste Corcoran, a double amputee.
The Orlando Mayor’s office facilitated the meeting with Orlando Health.
Of the eight patients still hospitalized at ORMC Saturday night, five are in stable condition and three are in critical condition.
Surgeons at the hospital have performed 61 operations since the morning of the nightclub shooting.
In total, the hospital received 44 patients from the Pulse shooting.
