Employees at the Tampa International Airport are helping animal control search for a family dog that escaped from its kennel at the airport.

The dog, named Brady, was being put on a Delta flight when it bit through its metal cage and escaped onto the tarmac on Wednesday, according to WTSP.

The flight was heading to Bermuda, where the dog was set to move with its family. Brady escaped before the flight’s crew could secure the cargo.

Delta released a statement obtained by WTSP saying that the dog ran off into a "heavily wooded area near the airport."

Airport operation crews, air traffic control and animal control have coordinated a search to find Brady.
