A Tennessee woman is lucky she wasn't in the car when a couple of bears decided to check the vehicle out.
Kathy Gafford contacted WATE after she said two bears climbed into her car as she worked inside a Gatlinburg cabin.
Gafford told the station that the baby bear sat in the passenger seat as the mother bear sat behind the steering wheel.
"I was carjacked by a bear," Gafford said.
"I've always left my windows down. I just took for granted that they would never get in my car. Well, wrong."
Mama bear ended up taking Gafford's purse and ate her lunch and snacks, WATE reported.
Gafford said it was more amusing than scary.
Wildlife experts told WATE that bears are active this time of year, trying to build up fat for the winter.
