Police say a driver was drunk when he struck a cart and a parked car outside a San Antonio store, killing a baby and hurting two women.
According to KSAT, David Fuentes, 25, was arrested on intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault charges in the deadly crash, which occurred just before 2 p.m. Monday in a Dollar General parking lot.
An 18-month-old girl was inside the cart when Fuentes struck it head-on, ejecting the child, police told KABB. The baby's mother, who was nearby, was hurt as well, authorities said.
Fuentes also hit a parked car, injuring a second woman, police said.
The baby died at the hospital, KABB reported. Her mother's condition was not immediately known, according to KSAT.
The second woman is in critical condition, KSAT reported.
