A California mom is facing multiple charges, including murder, after police said they found her baby girl unresponsive and toddler son injured Tuesday at an Upland apartment complex. The infant later died, authorities said.

According to the San Bernardino Sun, Tierra Rose Ortega, 24, threw the boy off a balcony about 11:30 a.m. before jumping to the ground, police said. When first responders arrived, they also found the baby, who appeared to have a fractured skull and wasn't breathing, inside the apartment, police said.
