Keepers at The Maryland Zoo said in a video it was not an easy decision to move baby Keeva, but it offers her the best chance to flourish.
Keeva’s new mom will be Abby, 32, who has raised two orphaned chimps in the past. Baby chimps are dependent on their mothers for at least five years, keepers say.
