Arizona police officers save kittens doused with gasoline

A pair of Arizona police officers helped rescue two kittens that were soaked with gasoline and thrown from a plastic bag, authorities said.

The two members of the Phoenix Police Department found the kittens and took them to the Arizona Humane Society for care, the Arizona Republic reported.

The person believed to be responsible for putting the kittens in the bag was described by police as a woman, approximately 50 years old, with dreadlocks, KSAZ reported. The woman was also wearing black shorts and a black shirt, the television station reported.

The woman has not been located, KNXV reported.
