An antique Ford 165 Cobra was found Monday morning near a carjacking scene.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said was vehicle stolen at gunpoint Saturday afternoon. A passerby found it around 7:30 a.m. on the side of a road.
The Cobra is valued at $96,000. Deputies said the vehicle was not damaged and the keys were left in the front seat.
The salesman told deputies that he was on a test ride with a potential customer, who wanted to show the car to someone else to get that person's opinion. The man then allegedly pulled a handgun and ordered the salesman to stop and get out of the vehicle, the sheriff's office said.
The man was described as being in his 50s, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 240 pounds. He has blue eyes and is bald.
