3-year-old believed to be 'in grave or immediate danger' found safe, San Antonio police say

A 3-year-old girl who went missing Monday night in a suspected abduction has been found safe, San Antonio police said Tuesday.

Authorities on Tuesday morning issued an Amber Alert for Zanyah Rita Lucio, 3, a San Antonio girl believed to be "in grave or immediate danger," according to officials. Authorities told WOAI-TV the girl was abducted by her biological mother, identified as 20-year-old Gabriella Kathleen Lucio.

Updated 2:35 p.m. EDT May 7:  Authorities said Zanyah was found safe Tuesday afternoon.

It was not immediately clear where or how she was found.

Original report: Around 9:30 p.m. Monday, the elder Lucio climbed through an apartment window to snatch Zanyah, police told WOAI and KSAT. A kidnapping warrant has been issued for Lucio's arrest.

Zanyah, who is 3 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 40 pounds, was last seen wearing pink pajama pants with rainbows and hearts on them, a pink tank top and no shoes, authorities said. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

The elder Lucio was described as having black/red hair and brown eyes. She weighs 130 pounds and stands around 4 feet, 11 inches tall.
