Amazon’s “Prime Day” sale better than Black Friday?

Christmas may be coming early for Amazon shoppers.
In celebration of its 20th birthday, Amazon will hold a "Prime Day" sale on July 15 that the company says will feature more deals that Black Friday.
"Step Aside Black Friday – Meet Prime Day," the company said in a news release Monday.
The one-day shopping event is exclusively for Prime members.The savings begin at midnight, “with new deals starting as often as every 10 minutes.”
An annual $99 Prime membership gives customersunlimited Free Two-Day shipping on select items, and access to Instant Video streaming service and Prime Music.
For those who don’t have a Prime membership, Amazon is offering customers a 30-day free trial.
“Prime Day is a one-day only event filled with more deals than Black Friday, exclusively for Prime members around the globe. Members tell us every day how much they love Prime and we will keep making it better,” said Greg Greeley, Vice President Amazon Prime. “If you’re not already a Prime member, you’ll want to join so you don’t miss out on one of the biggest deals extravaganzas in the world.”
