FWC told Action News Jax they received a call from Jacksonville Beach Ocean Rescue about the gator.

A lifeguard paddled out to net the gator, which will be relocated, according to FWC.

Jacksonville Beach police cleared the water after the gator was spotted by the lifeguard.

FWC said that while it is uncommon to find a gator at the beach, it's not unheard of.
