Alex Trebek is back hosting "Jeopardy!" after completing chemotherapy treatment for pancreatic cancer.
Trebek, 79, said in a video posted to "Jeopardy!" social media pages that he's "on the mend," and is shown doing push-ups backstage while taping the 36th season of the TV game show.
"I've gone through a lot of chemotherapy, and thankfully that is now over," Trebek said in the video. "Let me tell you, it's going to be a good year."
Trebek has hosted "Jeopardy!" since 1984, NBC News reported. He announced his Stage 4 pancreatic cancer diagnosis in March and said he was determined to beat the statistics for the deadly disease.
"Now, normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I’m going to fight this, and I’m going to keep working," Trebek said at the time.
He then jokingly said he had to beat the diagnosis because of his hosting contract.
New episodes of "Jeopardy!" start airing Sept. 9.
