Mom Angie Swartout says she and her son, 15-year-old Ty, were playing "Pokemon Go" recently at an Arizona park when two college-age men walked by, stomped on a barbecue sauce container and covered them both in sauce.
She told KNXV that one of the bullies turned around and shouted a slur at them.
Ty's sister posted about incident on the Arizona "Pokemon Go" Community page. Soon, hundreds of people responded, offering to play the game with Ty at a nearby park.
His mother cried happy tears.
“I’m so grateful. I’m just so grateful because if this wouldn’t have happened, we would still be hiding in our house like a lot of families like ours do. And I just can’t thank everyone enough,” Swartout said.
