Hazel Nelson, a 108-year-old woman living in Sunapee, New Hampshire, is the definition of a long-suffering fan.

The diehard Chicago Cubs fan has been waiting her entire life to see her team win the World Series.

“This year I've been pulling like crazy. And one more game,” she said.

She’s seen two world wars, the Great Depression, and the early days of the automobile, but a baseball championship for her favorite team has been elusive.

“Don't ask me how I got there. I say the band of angels coming after me got lost,” she said.

She spent her childhood in Chicago, right near Wrigley Field. Through thick and thin, she’s always been with her favorite team.

“I never lost faith in the Cubs,” she said. “Win or lose, I love them.”
