Contrary to recent reports, the Trump campaign says Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump does in fact have control over his Twitter account.
"No one is taking away his Twitter. He's his own man," senior adviser Boris Epshteyn told USA Today in response to a Sunday New York Times report.
That report said that Trump's camp took away his access to his Twitter profile. The story was picked up by President Obama when he attended a campaign rally for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton

"Apparently his campaign has taken away his Twitter. In the last two days, they had so little confidence in his self-control they said: 'We're just going to take away your Twitter,'"Obama said at a Kissimee, Florida, rally Sunday. "If somebody can't handle a Twitter account, they can't handle the nuclear codes."
Epstein's remarks are similar to the sentiments of Kellyanne Conway, Trump's campaign manager,
"It's not for me to take away a grown man's Twitter account," she told CNN in October. On the "Today Show" on Monday, Conway reiterated that the story is "not true."
