The symbol, which includes a cartoon of Trump sporting a Hitler-like mustache, was painted along the Buford Highway Connector late Tuesday or early Wednesday.

A second, similar image was found on a concrete bridge support on nearby Piedmont Road.

Atlanta police spokesman Warren Pickard told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution just after daybreak Wednesday that officers were on the scene and investigating the graffiti, which was being removed by police.

Trump said in a statement released Monday that there should be a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.” At a Monday night campaign rally in South Carolina, the Republican frontrunner said the ban should last “until our country’s representatives can figure out what the hell is going on.”
