In fact, according to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, approximately 3.2 million cats enter U.S. shelters annually.

Another survey from Healthy Paws Pet and Insurance Foundation found the five most popular male and female cat names from 2017 were Stella, Oscar, Gracie, Finn and Daisy.
