Target is recalling more than 480,000 of its Cat & Jack and Cloud Island clothing items for toddlers and infants due to a choking hazard.
According to the notices on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website, the snaps on the Cloud Island infant rompers and Cat & Jack Infant-Toddler One-Piece Rashguard Swimsuits can break or detach, leading to a choking hazard or risk of injury.
About 299,000 units of the Cloud Island infant rompers have been recalled. The sizes range from newborn to 12 months. They were sold at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com, GoogleExpress.com and Shipt.com from July 2019 through October 2020.

Full items with descriptions and item numbers for the rompers are listed on the CPSC website. There have been 16 reports of the snaps breaking, detaching or missing from the rompers. Included in those reports are one report of scratches and one report of a child being pinched.
About 181,000 of the Cat & Jack swimsuits have been recalled. Sizes range from 12M to 5T. They were sold at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com from December 2019 through October 2020.

Full items with descriptions and item numbers of the swimsuits are on the CPSC website. There have been 27 reports of the snaps breaking or detaching, which include one report of a laceration.
Consumers with affected products should immediately take the recalled items away from children. They can be returned to any Target store for a full refund. Those who purchased items on Target.com can contact Target at 800-440-0680 for a prepaid return label.
