Actor/comedian Kim Wayans brought back her "In Living Color" character Benita Butrell in a video urging people to vote.

A beloved character from the 1990s sketch comedy show “In Living Color” has made a return for an important cause.

Benita Butrell, the humorous neighborhood gossip known for her affection for Mrs. Jenkins and not being “one to gossip,” was a popular character created by comedic actress Kim Wayans.

The sister of “In Living Color” creator Keenan Ivory Wayans and actors Damon Wayans Sr., Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans and Nadia Wayans posted the clip to Twitter Friday.

After giving us an update on some of her Hopkins Projects neighbors, Butrell urges viewers to vote and younger voters to be election workers at the polls — until someone informs her of what Mrs. Jenkins has been up to.

The video ends with one last call for viewers to vote. As of the time of this story’s publication, more than 57 million people have voted with less than two weeks to go until Election Day. That number comes from the U.S. Elections Project, which is run by Michael McDonald, a political science professor at the University of Florida.
