One motorist was killed and another seriously injured early Saturday in a head-on collision in Cobb County.
The wreck happened about 6 a.m. on Powder Springs Road near Kimberly Drive.
Cobb police spokesman Mike Bowman said a southbound 1997 Oldsmobile Achieva “for reasons unknown” veered to the left and into the northbound lanes, where it collided head-on with a 2008 Toyota Tacoma.
The Oldsmobile driver, Jose L. Olvera, 52, of Marietta died at the scene, Bowman said.
Nhut D. Huynh of Marietta, the 65-year-old driver of the Toyota, was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries, Bowman said.
