A mother and her 3-year-old were injured while escaping a Milton house fire early Friday morning.

The Milton Fire Department said they were called to a home on White Columns Court around 6:40 a.m.

A family of 9 – seven children and two adults – lived in the home.

The Fire Department said the mother and toddler were injured when she jumped out a second-floor window to escape the flames. The father was also injured. All three were taken tothe hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Three family pets are missing and possibly dead.

The house was completely destroyed by the fire.
