The mother of a former bit player on a popular VH1 reality TV show has been found safe, but the case is "still being treated as a kidnapping,” DeKalb County police said.
Authorities searched all morning for Kimberly Moore after she disappeared between 7 and 7:45 p.m. Wednesday from a home on Maplewood Drive.
Police found the home ransacked, the back and front doors open and the woman’s week-old grandchild alone. They also found her car parked outside, according to Channel 2 Action News.
Moore does not live at the home. Her daughter, “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” alum Chavante “Che” Mack, does.
“We attempted an aerial search,” DeKalb police Maj. Stephen Fore told Channel 2. “We also brought in the K-9 unit to track, but we were unsuccessful.”
Moore, 56, was eventually found unharmed about 11 a.m. at her home on Tyrell Drive in south Cobb County, police said.
Authorities are working to determine how she got from the DeKalb residence to Cobb.
She was supposed to be babysitting Mack’s daughter, the television station reported.
Mack appeared on four episodes of “Love & Hip Atlanta” in 2013 as a new artist working with Grammy-winning music producer Stevie J.

“My mom is a sweet woman,” Mack told Channel 2 early Thursday. “She deserves to be home with her family and newborn granddaughter.”
