Missing Fairburn boy, 11, found safe
A south Fulton County middle school student who never returned home after getting off his school bus Thursday afternoon was found safe Friday morning at a grocery store in neighboring Fayette County.
Ricky Wang, an 11-year-old student at Bear Creek Middle School, had last been seen getting off his school bus outside the Asbury Park subdivision around 4:30 p.m., according to Channel 2 Action News.
He was found just after daybreak Friday at a Publix store in Tyrone, Channel 2 reported.
Witnesses told police that the boy walked down Johnson Road toward Coweta County instead of into his subdivision.
The boy did not have a history of running away, but might have gotten in trouble at school Thursday, according to Channel 2.
