Missing Atlanta girl, 12, found safe

The 12-year-old girl who disappeared after leaving her Atlanta home early Sunday was found safe by the afternoon, Atlanta police said.

Melani Macik had last been seen at 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police cancelled their alert early Sunday afternoon.
