The body of an 11-year-old girl who was reported missing Friday night was found Saturday morning, AL.com reported.

DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden confirmed that Amberly Alexis Barnett's body was found Saturday morning at around 6:30 a.m., the website reported. She was last seen Friday night at her aunt's home in Collinsville, Alabama, WHNT reported.

"We are diligently, diligently pursuing different avenues and, Lord willing, we will have answers in the upcoming days," Welden said at a news conference Saturday. "Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as we move forward during this tragic event. ...

“My heart is shattered this day in DeKalb County, Alabama, but we will go forward and, good Lord willing, we will have those answers needed and deserved.”

Welden released few details and did not give a cause of death, AL.com reported.

A GoFundMe page was started for Amberly.
