A Minnesota teen escaped with minor injuries when a limestone boulder tumbled down one of the bluff overlooking the Mississippi River and onto her car Friday, WCCO reported.
Sydney Flack, 17, of Red Wing, said she did not recall the impact of the boulder hitting her Ford Focus, KARE reported.
"I saw (a boulder) roll down, within a split second, it hit right on my car," Flack told the television station. "I didn't stop, the rock stopped my car completely."
The boulder ripped apart the undercarriage of Flack's car and activated her airbag, WCCO reported.
"Under it, it looked like it was just a faucet running," Flack told the television station. "It was all liquid coming out from the bottom of it."
A nurse performed first aid as emergency software inside Flack's car automatically called 911, WCCO reported.
"The ground just becomes soft as we start getting more rain," Minnesota State Patrol officer John Baker told KARE. "And gravity takes places and boulders start falling, trees start falling."
