A 26-year-old Michigan woman is accused of walking into the wrong house after a night of drinking, the Detroit Free Press reported. When police arrived, the woman was being held at gunpoint by the homeowners, the newspaper reported.
The woman was charged with entering an occupied dwelling without permission and obstructing a police officer, according to the Free Press.
According to police, officers responded to a call around 1 a.m. Wednesday and found the woman sitting in a chair, with the homeowners guarding her with a gun, WXYZ reported. Police said the woman apparently mistook the home for her own, according to the Free Press.
Police told her to show her hands and get on the ground, but she refused, the television station reported. Officers took the woman down and put her in handcuffs.
The woman allegedly spit on officers inside the squad car and when she was escorted into the police station, the Free Press reported.
A test showed the woman's blood alcohol content at .21, the newspaper reported. The legal limit in Michigan is .08, according to the Michigan State Police.
