Americans worry more about having their smartphones hacked than about having their vehicles stolen — and for good reason.

According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, the chances of having your vehicle stolen are notably less than any other time since 1960. However, there are cities where vehicle owners are more at risk to theft than others.

Using data from the FBI's 2013 Uniform Crime Report (most recent), FindTheHome analyzed cities with populations over 10,000 to determine which had the most thefts per 100,000 residents.

While California is the car theft capital of the U.S., East Point and College Park put Georgia on this less than desirable map:

East Point

• Ranking: No. 2

• Population: 36,172

• Car thefts per 100,000 residents: 2,062.4

College Park

• Ranking: No. 4

• Population: 14,871

• Car thefts per 100,000 residents: 1,808.9
