Friday the 13th could be a lucky day for someone to win a huge Mega Millions jackpot.

Brisk sales have pushed the multi-state lottery jackpot up to $425 million for tonight’s 11 p.m. drawing, Georgia Lottery officials said.

No players matched all six numbers drawn on Tuesday night. Five players, two in Ohio and one each in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Jersey, matched the first five numbers drawn Tuesday – 5, 12, 22, 41 and 65 – but not the Mega Ball of 13. Those players won $1 million each.

The jackpot began rolling on Oct. 4 and has rolled 20 times.

Mega Millions offers two jackpot payment options: the $425 million annuity prize paid out as one immediate payment followed by 29 annual graduated payments; or the cash option of about $228 million, officials said.

The Mega Millions and Powerball drawings can be seen live on Channel 2 just before the Action News Nightbeat at 11 p.m.
