Good news, MARTA riders.

After this week's winter storm forced the transit authority to suspend bus service on Wednesday and limit routes on Thursday, spokesman Lyle V. Harris said early Friday that MARTA plans to restore most of its bus and rail service.

While MARTA buses are following a full, weekday schedule on all routes until 2 a.m. Saturday, rail service is running on a modified schedule until 1:30 a.m. Saturday, he said in a news release.

“Average wait times for train arrivals will range from 10 to 30 minutes throughout the service day,” Harris said. “Customers are being asked to exercise patience and allow extra time for their trips.”

Those who ride the Red Line train from North Springs to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport must transfer at the Lindbergh Center for a Gold line train to complete their trips. No transfers are necessary if you take the Blue and Green line trains.
