Cobb County police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a 50-year-old Marietta man Thursday.

Robert Barth was driving a 2006 Mack CV700 dump truck eastbound on Riverside Parkway about 2:30 p.m., according to a news release from Cobb police. He veered into the westbound lanes for reasons unknown, and over-corrected when he attempted to steer the truck back into the eastbound lanes. As the truck swerved, it rolled over and struck a utility pole, police said. Barth was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the wreck is ongoing. Anyone with information on the incident should call Cobb police at 770-499-3987.
