Man wanted in connection with more than 70 car break-ins in Cherokee

Detravious Long was recently indicted in a 118-count gang case.

A suspected gang member from Atlanta is wanted in Cherokee County on charges that he was involved in more than 70 car break-ins, among other counts, according to law enforcement officials.

Detravious Long was recently indicted in a 118-count gang case along with four other suspects, all of whom are in custody, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. The agency has released Long’s photo and is seeking help from the public in locating him.

Together, Long and the four other suspects are charged with more than 70 entering auto counts, multiple gun counts and vehicle thefts, the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.

According to the post, the suspects are involved with two gangs, the Nine Trey Gangster Bloods and Good Fellas. They are charged with crimes that occurred in unincorporated Cherokee County, Canton and Ball Ground.

The Cherokee sheriff’s office identified the four other suspects as Tyjuan Burch, Quinn Chajuan Dawson, Jacquez Ivey and Darrell Marrion. Burch’s bond was set at $50,000, but he remains in custody. Dawson, Ivey and Marrion have not been granted bond and remain in custody.

Long is to be considered armed and dangerous, the sheriff’s office said. Officials ask anyone who sees him to contact 911 immediately.
